What is a corporate plan?
A corporate plan is a document councils use to set out their vision and priorities for the future.
South Cambridgeshire District Council adopted its corporate plan at its council meeting in February 2025. This plan covers the five-year period from April 2025 to April 2030.
The Corporate Plan was finalised after we asked residents to help shape our plans for the years ahead – to ensure South Cambridgeshire remains one of the best places to live and work in the country. Almost 400 responses were received during a six-week consultation in late 2024. That consultation covered what, at the time, were our proposed new priorities. That feedback helped develop the new Corporate Plan, setting out key objectives for how, over the next five years, we will achieve our new priorities for South Cambridgeshire. A summary of feedback received was shared with all councillors as part of the report when they adopted the plan.

What is a corporate action plan?
Whilst the Corporate Plan sets out the Council’s vision and priorities for the future, the detailed breakdown of how we intend to achieve this vision is set out in the Corporate Action Plan.
Each financial year the Council will create and adopt a new corporate action plan which details the planned actions, and monitoring arrangements for that year.
