What you must report
As a licence holder, you are legally required to inform us of specific changes or incidents within the timeframes outlined below, as set out in the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy. This includes any change that could affect:
- your licence,
your fit-and-proper status - your ability to operate within legal and safety requirements
When you must notify us
Within 24 hours
- If your vehicle’s CCTV system fails, is removed or replaced. If the fault is not
rectified within 5 working days, the vehicle will be suspended until the CCTV
equipment is fully operational
Within 72 hours
- Any vehicle accident. Failure to report an accident may result in suspension or revocation of both vehicle and driver licences
- Any DVLA endorsement such as speeding, no insurance or dangerous driving
- Any arrest, charge, caution or conviction
Within 7 days
- A change to your email address or phone number
- Any new medical condition, or a worsening of an existing condition, that affects
driving. - Any change to your immigration status.
As soon as possible
- Any other change that could affect your licence or your fit-and-proper status.
