Cost of living support
There is lots of different cost of living support available and it can be confusing to know what is right for you. You may want help accessing grants, support getting all the benefits you are entitled to, or simply want to know more about the government's recent support measures. Therefore, we’ve highlighted what we think are the most important areas of support below, with more support listed on further pages.

Accessing affordable food
The vast majority of foodbanks and food hubs in South Cambridgeshire are easy to access, as you are able to turn up on the day and no voucher is required. For more information and to see details of your nearest foodbank or food hub, please visit our dedicated foodbanks page.
Household Support Fund
The Household Support Fund (HSF) provides £110 to help people experiencing immediate financial hardship to pay for food and household energy bills. You can apply for the HSF by contacting duty.communities@scambs.gov.uk.
You are eligible to receive support if:
- You live in Cambridgeshire
- You have £16,000 or less in money, savings, and investments
- You have income levels less than identified in the tables below
The figures are before any tax due, though you should include all sources of income (benefits, pensions, investments etc).
